According to an orthopedic surgeon I saw last March  in Dubai, my external rotators tendons of my left shoulder  had “disappeared”. Well…Dr. Higgins must have “reattached” them as I am gaining strength back every workout, since my first treatment in early November 2015.

Of course, I don’t like to confirm with the data, I like to be at least a generation younger than the age on my passport. So besides regular soft tissue treatment, I have found that gingko biloba, bacopa and gotu kola do wonders to turn the clock back.

I cannot  recommend a brand or dosage because there is not a single one high quality that makes it in every country.  If you can buy it without going through a functional medicine practitioner, you are probably getting scammed according to the New York Attorney General:

The Tim Ferriss website is the best for that, loads of free info. Okay, I can the gutless keyboard warriors say; “Yeah, it is because you were on his podcast”.

No, I was applying Tim’s stuff before he ever asked to contribute to The Four Hour Body, and the Four Hour Chef.

5 – Give Hoist machines a try

I always prefer to use free weights. However, sometimes boredom sets in. Or if I just want to train hypertrophy, I love using the Hoist machines. I highly recommend them for anyone who has had orthopedic issues. They are easy on the joints, you always feel that you are in the groove when working with them. 6 – Give Prime machines a try

I  love the concept of being able  to load a specific part of the strength curve. Especially when doing rehab for clients. I have two pieces in my basement gym, just got them. After starting to use them again, the DOMS was out of this world… After  the hamstrings machine workout, for the next five days, it felt like the Kendo team tried multiple combinations of bamboo stick hitting on my knee flexors. Ben Pakulski is also a great fan of them, and has many of them in his MI40 gym in Tampa.

7 – Choose always the highest quality in the basics. Barbells and Dumbbells are still your best friendeleiko

Properly designed free weights are still your primary strength and muscle building tools.  The right dumbbells and barbells will always give you the best results.
