COURSE INFORMATION

Prerequisites: Biomechanical Assessment
** If you certified for the Essentials of Program Design in the past, you will qualify to attend this course without Prerequisite of Biomechanical Assessment
Duration: 3 days
Hours: 1000 – 1800

Software: This class comes with three months access to the new program design software. A preview of this new training software can be seen in the video below:

Regardless of what your client’s goal is, a properly designed training program will produce better results in a shorter amount of time.

Doing so will improve your reputation as a personal trainer/strength coach making you an asset to your clients.

Designing results producing training programs requires proper planning and the precise use of the different loading parameters; sets, reps, tempo, rest intervals, and others. In this class you will learn how to write effective training programs, keeping in mind the relationships and interactions between the different loading parameters and your client’s needs.

First Day: Mastering the prescription of SETS and REPS
The training/practical sessions are specifically designed to understand how reps and sets can be manipulated to achieve specific training goals. You will master the concept learned in the class and you will learn the proper technique and variations of different exercises.

1000 – 1100: Definitions and key concepts
1100 – 1230: Practical session – Application of the key concepts
1400 – 1530: Understanding loading parameters: SETS and REPS
1530 – 1700: Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned
1700 – 1800: Recapitulation and Q&A

Second Day: Mastering the prescription of TEMPO, TIME UNDER TENSION and REST INTERVALS
The training/practical sessions are specifically designed to understand how tempo and rest intervals can be manipulated to achieve specific training goals. You will learn the concept of how tempo is actually specific to exercise selection. You will master how rest intervals can affect hormonal and neurologic output.

1000 – 1100: Understanding loading parameters: TEMPO and TUT
1100 – 1230: Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned
1400 – 1530: Understanding loading parameters: REST INTERVALS
1530 – 1700: Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned
1700 – 1800: Recapitulation and Q&A

Third Day: Mastering the interactions between the loading parameters
The training/practical sessions are specifically designed to reinforce how the loading parameters interact in between them and how their variations affect the output of the training program.
1000 – 1100: Understanding loading parameters: INTERACTIONS
1100 – 1230: Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned
1400 – 1530: Understanding loading parameters: INTERACTIONS
1530 – 1700: Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned
1700 – 1800: Recapitulation and Q&A

Having taken a few Strength Sensei courses over the last year I can say with confidence that these are the best courses out there to increase your athletes overall performance and health, as well as increasing your earning. The structure of these courses allows for lots of learning without getting overloaded with information. My only regret is not finding these sooner, especially during my time in the military where I know I could have saved myself many headaches. Thank you to everyone on the Strength Sensei team who help to put these seminars on and ensure they run so smoothly.
