INTRODUCTION

Regardless of what your client’s goal is, a properly designed training program will produce better results in a shorter amount of time.

Doing so will improve your reputation as a personal trainer, hence making you an asset to your clients

Designing training programs that actually work requires planning and the proper use of the different loading parameters: sets, reps, tempo, rest intervals, amongst others. In this class you will learn how to write effective training programs, keeping in mind the relationships and interactions between the different loading parameters, and your client’s needs

DAY 1

The training/practical sessions are specifically designed to understand how reps and sets can be manipulated to achieve specific training goals. You will master the concept learned in the class and you will learn the proper technique and variations of different exercises.

10:00 – 11:00 – Definitions and key concepts

11:00 – 12:30 – Practical session – Application of the key concepts

14:00 – 15:30 – Understanding the loading parameters (first part)

15:30 – 17:00 – Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned

17:00 – 18:00 – Recapitulation and Q&A

DAY 2

The training/practical sessions are specifically designed to understand how tempo and rest intervals can be manipulated to achieve specific training goals. You will learn the concept how tempo is actually specific to exercise selection. You will master how rest intervals can affect hormonal and neurologic output.

10:00 – 11:00 – Understanding the loading parameters (second part)

11:00 – 12:30 – Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned

14:00 – 15:30 – Understanding the loading parameters (third part)

15:30 – 17:00 – Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned

17:00 – 18:00 – Recapitulation and Q&A

DAY 3

The training/practical sessions are specifically designed to reinforce how the loading parameters interact between them, and how their variations affect the output of the training program.

10:00 – 11:00 – Understanding the loading parameters (fourth part)

11:00 – 12:30 – Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned

14:00 – 15:30 – Understanding the loading parameters Interactions

15:30 – 17:00 – Practical session – Application of the loading parameters learned

17:00 – 18:00 – Recapitulation and Q&A
